Trine 2

Pre-order Trine 2, get beta access

The beta consists of two multiplayer levels that will be playable until the game is released.

Vita requires external memory card

Memory card optional, unless you want to play games

According to an FAQ from Famitsu, the “optional” memory card for the PlayStation Vita has turned out to be a requirement—if you want to play certain games.

Instead of saving to Vita’s internal memory, some games will require you to save to an external memory card. In addition to this, certain games won’t even be able to boot without an external memory card installed.

At first glance, the $250 price tag of the Vita looks appealing. But after factoring in the need to purchase an optional peripheral, the cost of the Vita gets pretty expensive for a handheld. Bad form, Sony, bad form.

And in case you were wondering, here are the prices for the Vita memory cards:

  • 4GB = ~$29
  • 8GB = ~$42
  • 16GB = ~$72
  • 32GB = ~$124

Tyrael's Charger World of Warcraft

Want Diablo III for free? Just play WoW for a year

PC

Blizzard has announced that Battle.net members who are willing to enter a 12 month World of Warcraft commitment will get Diablo III for free. But wait, there’s more!

If you agree to the 12 month commitment, Blizzard will also throw in Tyreal’s Charger, a new WoW mount, and a guaranteed beta entry into the next WoW expansion, which was announced to be Mists of Pandaria during BlizzCon this week.

If you are planning on playing WoW for another year, there’s really no reason to not take advantage of this offer. Unless, of course, you hate free stuff. And if that’s the case, then don’t get a free copy of Diablo III, see if I care. I’ll just look down and laugh at you while I prance through the skies of Azeroth on my Ethereal steed.

For more information about the offer you can check out Blizzard’s FAQ.
